Al Alamain International Airport is a privately-operated international airport that has been serving the Egyptian North Coast since 2004. The airport is located in the heart of the Egyptian Mediterranean coastline, approximately 150km west of Alexandria and 130km east of Marsa Matruh, and primarily caters to passengers bound for neighbouring beachside resorts and cargo traffic to and from Europe and beyond.

The airport’s location allows it to serve (1) local and international passenger traffic to the most prominent fully-integrated communities on the Egyptian Mediterranean coast including New Alamein City; (2) inbound freighter flights with cargo destined for Egypt’s various mega projects and outbound flights carrying Egypt’s agricultural exports sourced from the nearby Nile Delta region; and (3) as a trade and logistics hub for Euro-African and Asia-African carriers and multinationals.

The airport is a mere 2.5-hour flight away from Central Europe, making it a key gateway for air traffic to/from Africa.

The airport’s operating capacity allows for optimal aircraft turnaround times, passenger, baggage and cargo handling. Additionally, as a privately-operated airport, Al Alamain International Airport offers a more flexible and tailored experience to its valued customers.
